Pocket Hearts, Fantastic Feet, and D8Makers are operated through this website and our shared online store at pockethearts.ie, fantasticfeet.ie, and d8makers.ie (the “Services”). The Services are powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the store, checkout, and related tools to you.
Throughout this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the operator of these brands.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase or other transaction using the Services, or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described below.
Personal Information We Collect or Process
When we use the term “personal information”, we mean information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you or another person. Personal information does not include information that is collected anonymously or that has been de-identified so that it cannot identify or be reasonably linked to you.
We may collect or process the following categories of personal information, including inferences drawn from this information, depending on how you interact with the Services, where you live, and as permitted or required by applicable law:
- Contact details — your name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, and email address
- Financial information — payment card information, transaction details, form of payment, payment confirmation, and other payment details (payment processing is handled by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems)
- Account information — your username, password, preferences, and settings if you create a customer account
- Transaction information — items you view, add to your cart, purchase, return, exchange, or cancel, and your order history
- Order customisation details — messages, engraving text, gift wording, and other personalisation you enter when ordering (for example on custom Pocket Hearts), which may include information about you or another person
- Wholesale / trade information — if you apply for or use a wholesale account, business name, shop address, and related trade contact details you provide to us
- Communications with us — information you include when you contact customer support, apply for wholesale access, or otherwise communicate with us
- Device information — information about your device, browser, or network connection, your IP address, and other technical identifiers
- Usage information — how and when you interact with or navigate the Services
Personal Information Sources
We may collect personal information from:
- You directly — when you create an account, place an order, personalise a product, subscribe to marketing, or contact us
- Automatically through the Services — from your device when you use our websites, including through cookies and similar technologies
- Our service providers — when they collect or process information on our behalf (for example Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers, and email/fulfilment tools)
- Partners or other third parties — where permitted and relevant to providing the Services
How We Use Your Personal Information
Depending on how you interact with us, we may use personal information for the following purposes:
Provide, Tailor, and Improve the Services
We use your personal information to provide the Services, including to process payments, fulfil orders, send order and account-related communications, arrange shipping, handle returns and exchanges where applicable, manage customer accounts, operate wholesale ordering where offered, and create your personalised products (such as engraved Pocket Hearts or Fantastic Feet vouchers and keepsakes).
Marketing and Advertising
We may use your personal information for marketing and promotional purposes, such as to send marketing communications by email (where permitted) and to show you relevant products or offers. You can opt out of promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails.
Security and Fraud Prevention
We use your personal information to help provide a secure shopping experience, authenticate accounts, and detect, investigate, or address possible fraud, abuse, or security issues. If you register an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
Communicating with You
We use your personal information to respond to enquiries, provide customer support, and maintain our relationship with you.
Legal Reasons
We use your personal information to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms and policies.
Lawful Bases (UK / EEA)
If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, we process personal information on one or more of the following bases, as applicable: performance of a contract (for example to fulfil your order); legitimate interests (for example to improve our Services, prevent fraud, and run our business); consent (for example where required for certain marketing); and legal obligation (where we must retain or disclose information by law).
How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose your personal information to third parties in the following circumstances:
- Shopify and service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, payment processing, order fulfilment, shipping, customer support, email delivery, analytics, and IT services
- Google and similar providers where we use their tools to operate order notifications, voucher delivery, or other automated business processes
- Business and marketing partners where we use tools (including Shopify features) to measure, personalise, or improve marketing. Those partners process information under their own privacy policies. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of certain uses of your information for targeted advertising — see Shopify’s privacy portal
- When you direct or consent — for example to deliver your order via a carrier, or when you use social media links or integrations
- Legal and business purposes — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights and users, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or restructuring
We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary sense of exchanging it for money. Some privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” broadly (including certain advertising uses); see Your Rights and Choices below.
Relationship with Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the platform. Information you submit through the store is transmitted to and processed by Shopify and its subprocessors, which may be located outside your country.
To learn more about how Shopify uses personal information and how to exercise rights relating to data Shopify processes, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and https://privacy.shopify.com/en.
Third-Party Websites and Links
The Services may link to websites or platforms operated by third parties (for example social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing personal information to them.
Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
If you order Fantastic Feet or similar products, a parent or guardian may provide information relating to a child (for example for casting appointments or voucher fulfilment) as part of placing an order. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it where required.
We do not have actual knowledge that we “sell” or “share” (as those terms are defined in applicable law) the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
Security and Retention of Your Information
No security measures are perfect. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and information sent to us may not be secure while in transit. Please avoid sending highly sensitive information through unsecure channels.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including to complete orders, maintain accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to your personal information. These rights are not absolute and may apply only in certain circumstances.
- Access / know — request access to personal information we hold about you
- Delete — request deletion of personal information we maintain about you
- Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Portability — request a copy of your information in a portable format, in certain cases
- Opt out of sale / sharing for targeted advertising — depending on your location, you may opt out via https://privacy.shopify.com/en
If you visit our website with the Global Privacy Control opt-out signal enabled, we will treat this as an opt-out request for that browser/device where required by law. Learn more at https://globalprivacycontrol.org/.
Marketing emails — you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails. We may still send non-promotional messages about your orders or account.
Additional Rights for UK and EEA Residents
You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
Exercising Your Rights
Contact us using the details below, or use the Shopify privacy tools linked above where they apply to data processed by Shopify. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

International Transfers
We may transfer, store, and process your personal information outside the country where you live, including where our service providers are located.
If we transfer personal information from the EEA or UK to countries without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or UK equivalent mechanisms, as applicable.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
